Men's Hard Shell Waterproof Mountain Jacket

ULTIMATE HARD SHELL JACKET PERFORMANCE

Odin is a fully featured hard shell technical mountain jacket built to the same specification as our Grim hard shell, but with chest pockets instead of the Grim’s hand pockets. Odin is designed to be a winter fortress in the most atrocious conditions, without sacrificing those features which lend it versatility for all year use.

Jöttnar SKJOLDR™ windproof, waterproof, breathable fabric provides superb harsh weather protection and durability. Two way pit zips allow temperature regulation, the helmet compatible hood pattern gives excellent visibility and unimpeded movement, and the anti-snag hem cords avoid tangling with gear.

Wear over a mid layer or base layer as your final protective outer layer for skiing and mountaineering.

Odin

Love it. I've not tested it in the great outdoors yet, thanks to Covid19, but do love the fit, fabric, features, and look. I was apprehensive about it being 'worth' the price tag, but it absolutely is and I'm looking forward to getting back out there!

Odin

This has to be the best jacket I’ve ever owned. I’ve got a couple of arcteryx jackets but prefer the fit of jottnar. The quality of there gear is amazing. I bought a magni fleece jacket to go underneath the Odin as I didn’t want something to bulky like a down jacket. It’s so warm. Will definitely be ordered more gear from these guys. Yes it’s expensive but you get what you pay for. Like I always say if you buy cheap you end up buying twice.

Great jacket

Tested on coast path walk during storm dennis. Kept dry and breathed as well as a hardshell could. I wear a medium with room for layers but at 5.9 the sleeves are 2 inch to long but not a big issue. the hood is the best ive ever experienced . Great jacket would recomend.

Awesome

I was recommended Jottnar by a friend I was in the Royal Marines with and having then put in a little research found out it was designed by Bootnecks I thought well it has the potential to be what I was looking for.

I bought the Fenrir In October last year first and was instantly glad that I did. The fit is great the warmth it gives is far better than any micro down fleece I’ve owned before.

So I went the whole hog and bought the Odin and the Erling Hoody. In a bundle deal.

I used all three as part of my
Layering system last week during a 2 day walking wild camping trip to the lakes. The performance was fantastic. It dropped down to -14 at the top of Hellvelyn with a good couple of feet snow on top. I was warm and dry for the entire walk.
I was a bit sceptical as to the wicking quality that is advertised with the product but can say it was awesome at wicking. Never once felt the usual dampness from other kit which was always a nuisance.

I whole heartedly recommend Jottnar and will replace or renew all my outer layers in the future with their products.

I know the price tag will put some people off but I can say it’s worth every single penny if you spend you’re time in the mountains and want to stay comfortable in all weathers.
Like anything in life you get what you pay for.
