Men's Hooded Hybrid Fleece Jacket

A LIGHTLY INSULATED, VERSATILE JACKET BUILT WITH POLARTEC® ALPHA® FLEECE

NEW & REVISED

With a toughened new face fabric, the Asger is a lightly insulated, technically sophisticated jacket for high output activity. A windproof, water repellent outer and a Polartec® Alpha® inner perfectly balance warmth and breathability, especially when moving.

Developed for Special Forces, Polartec® Alpha® is an active air-exchange insulation system for temperature variations and stop-start conditions. Delivering consistent warmth and breathability, Alpha® releases excess body heat before saturation and discomfort.

Layer under a hard shell for regulated warmth when active, or wear as a standalone over a base layer. An athletic fit, stretch cuffs, harness compatible pockets, and an adjustable hood enhance performance and functionality.

Perfect

Used for a canoeing trip and the odd scramble and it has kept me at the perfect temp and comfort out of many of the numerous jackets I own. Cant recommend enough.

amazingly light

Was surprised at how light, yet warm, this jacket is. So far has been great at regulating my body temp. Not had a chance to test the waterproofing capabilities, which i know will be only a light shower, but worn down to a cool evening temps of around 9 degrees, minimum breeze. Good fit with some room, i'm 183cms (6ft) and around 13 stone.

Asger-Tested in the Scottish Hills

I had held off from writing a review until I gave it a proper testing and having just returned from 3 days in the Scottish hills doing some Munro bagging, I feel I can write a fair review. This is a superb piece of kit. The warmth to weight is exceptional and was the perfect garment when we moved from sunshine to heavy snow in May! Like others have mentioned it is a little tight across the chest and shoulders but works for me. Love the brand and will definitely buy from them again. Yes, its a little more expensive but you definitely get what you pay for. Keep up the good work.

Nice but a little too fitted

Nice jacket but for me a touch tight around the shoulders and chest, usually fit easily into medium in most sports brands, not terrible but a little more room would be good.

Well worth the cost

During lockdown I researched many outdoor jackets/coats and kept coming back to Jottner. I’m glad I did. I took the plunge as restrictions were being lifted as my first trip was to be in the Lakes during a wet and cold week in May. This coat is superb. It’s lightweight so easy enough to pack away and it’s completely windproof when I was up Red Screes on the Kirkstone Pass. And then the rain came in! The jacket was waterproof too. It’s a tech treat as I was kept warm from the wind and cool when my body heat increased during the climb. In addition to all of this it was smart during pub visits after a day on the hills. I’m now considering my winter jacket from Jottner.
