Men's Hooded Hybrid Fleece Jacket

A LIGHTLY INSULATED, VERSATILE JACKET BUILT WITH POLARTEC® ALPHA® FLEECE

NEW for winter 2019/20

A lightly insulated, technically sophisticated jacket for high output activity. A windproof, water repellent outer and a Polartec® Alpha® inner perfectly balance warmth and breathability, especially when moving.

Developed for Special Operations Forces, Polartec® Alpha® is an active air-exchange insulation system for temperature variations and stop-start conditions. Delivering consistent warmth and breathability, Alpha® releases excess body heat before saturation and discomfort.

Layer under a hard shell for regulated warmth when active, or wear as a standalone over a base layer. An athletic fit, stretch cuffs, harness compatible pockets, and an adjustable hood enhance performance and functionality.

Fantastic

This is my second jacket from Jottnar and I have all but great things to say about both jackets. The Asger is surprisingly warm given its weight, and really protects you against the wind (the hood is amazingly warm too). It's a fantastic piece of gear for hiking in the Whites during the winter. I have the Elvar and the combination of both is all you need to handle rough winters in the Northeast. Highly recommended.

Asger Jacket

Astonished how light yet warm this jacket is, also a great looking item which, after only a few days, has generated several admiring glances and comments. Good top and mid layer item and look forward to putting it through its paces over the coming months.

Sceptic

This is not the first bit of kit I've bought from Jottnar but on arrival I was a little sceptical. This was mainly due to the lightnes of the Asgar. First time out my doubts were proved to be unfounded. Yes it's light yes it feels thin but once on the fit is perfect and it keeps the wind out very well. Weight to warmth is spot on. Used as a layer its awesome.
I'm 5'9. 39inch chest medium is perfect fit.

Good product not so good customer service

Having read positive reviews about Jottnar product, I took the plunge and ordered my first item. First thing I noticed is packaging is very poor for a premium product and the package arrived ripped. Similar brands better packaging by far. The first trial of the product seems good and it seems well constructed and so far it does what it should do. First real test Norway in a couple of weeks should be interesting. The poorest thing about Jottnar is its customer service messaged no reply and emailed no reply. With other Premiums brands I have experienced far better service. Selling a premium product you would expect great customer service but 1 star for that.
