Asger is a big surprise

How can something as super thin and light as the Asher be this warm and windproof? It's quickly become my daily go to and never disappoints

Asher initial thoughts

Really well made and a great fit on me, SML size 37 chest 5ft 8. Love it especially as it doesn't have panels in an alternative fabric that I find drafty

Impressive

Worn this multiple times since I got it, cool weather as a light outer and then on my first Scottish winter day of the season. Great jacket, kept it on all day with a long sleeve thermal under, on the hike in this was all I needed. It's great for under a shell when on the climb, good movement in it and the fit for me is ideal. I got a medium and I'm 5'6".

Only gave it a 4 star review as it would have been better to have it for properly over my helmet.

Apart from that it's a great bit of kit

Dont judge a book by its cover

So upon opening my first impressions were theres no way this super lightweight, super thin layer will make that much difference. I was a bit disappointed in all honesty. I bought this as a mid layer to go under a thin shell thats quite fitted. Firstly the fit, I got a large, im probably between a large and medium and the large fits really nice, arms a bit long as others have said but not enough for it to be a problem. Loads of movement and you can barely tell you have it on, really comfy and light. Temp is currently pretty cold outside, around 5/6 degrees and im shocked at the difference the Asger has made compared to the fleece layer I was using before. Got as a mid layer but I can see it being a nice outer layer when it warms up, overall pleasantly surprised. This is my first purchase from Jottnar and i'll definitely be getting more.

Sweet Spot

The Asger has been a real treat. It is astoundingly comfortable. The feel of the insulation is cozy. When a chilly breeze whips up it stops it cold! I love the fact I can exert myself on blustery cold days knowing I’ll stay warm. It really does hit that sweet spot of balanced insulation, functional temperature regulation, and protection from those icy winds when pushing hard. The quality of the materials and make are top notch as well. I am looking forward to many fine days in the outdoors exploring in comfort. Great work Jottnar!
