Warm when wet, this is the perfect jacket for skiers and climbers looking for lightweight, weather resistant warmth in a streamlined package. Wear year-round as a warm mid-layer, or as an outer layer in cold, dry conditions.

Body-mapped, synthetic, breathable Thermolite® insulation is wrapped inside a stretch nylon windshell outer, providing warmth, comfort and protection. Polartec® Wind Pro® side panels toughened with a Hardface® application deliver stretch, water repellence and breathability, whilst retaining warmth when needed. The air permeable but tightly fused fibres of Wind Pro® reduce wind chill and withstand moisture. The Hardface® surface application increases abrasion resistance and prolongs the life of the garment.

Micro-suede lined pockets provide hand warmth and are harness compatible, the chest pocket stores essentials, and an under-helmet hood gives extra warmth and protection when needed. Additional features include Jöttnar’s anti-snag hem cords, technical stretch cuffs, YKK® zips throughout and a Durable Water Repellent finish.

Incredible jacket

Nervous initially about spending this much on a mid layer jacket. I need not have been. One of the best clothing purchases I have made. I summited Mont Blanc with it as my outer layer in high winds and minus -10–15deg and was beautifully warm. Skied in it. Use it daily to commute on my bike to work in cold weather. Really cuts the wind out but at the same time you don’t ever feel too hot or sweaty. Not sure how they do it. Fantastic purchase.

just used this everyday on a ski trip over magni or hemming,it worked very well at keeping me warm in -10c plus wind chill .my only gripe is the fit ,i am 170cm, 70kg, the hemming and magni are a very close fit and the floyen is a loose fit,it needs to be a closer fit.quality is undeniable.

A Beautiful Piece of Kit

I spent last winter ski season in the wilds of British Columbia where the mecury could plumet for days at a time to range between -20c / - 30c which presents a challenge for how to layer either too warm and fail to wick the moisture away from the core during intense bouts of activity or too light and breathable and fail to maintain a warm core when static which meant that I was looking for a suitable midlayer to solve this challenge for this coming winter ski season 2022/23. The Floyen would seem to fit the bill - it's certainly another beautiful piece of kit from Jottnar - I have high hopes that it will bridge the gap between the Atom AR providing that extra degree of warmth (100/80/60) but with the added benefit of the windproof treatment to reduce the wind chill often associated with the Atom LT whilst retaining the benefit of the breathable stretch panels necessary to wick mositure away from the core to maintain warmth when static which the Atom AR lacks as it is a fully enclosed garment to hold warmth. I look forward to putting the Floyen to the test in the wilds of British Columbia this coming winter ski season.
