High performance, superlight waterproof

I love being outdoors, but I don't love wearing waterproofs. Every single waterproof I've worn to date has made me feel like a boil-in-the-bag - hot, sweaty and uncomfortable. Hjalmar is very much the exception. Extremely light without feeling flimsy, utterly waterproof and very, very breathable. Perfect for hiking, running and mountain-biking in cool, damp weather. Also great on those not cold, but high wind-chill days, with a light base-layer underneath.

Solid and lovely

New to the brand, and this was my first purchase.
Fit-
Perfect for what I want. Comparable to/better than the dead bird brand (Arc'Teryx) in terms of athletic fit, and ability to layer over some light insulation. Small works perfect for me at 5'9", 160lbs, 41" chest. Incredibly light weight, good colors, packs up nicely.
Use- Managed to get out in some rain recently, a decent steady rainfall. Took a 35 min bike ride, rather strenuous, and took note of the performance. Worn over a merino short sleeve shirt, core and head stayed dry and pleasant. Where the jacket was sitting directly against my skin, such as my arms below my elbows, condensation from body heat gathered and ended up soaking my wrists. I'm fairly certain that if I wore a long sleeve layer, I would fix that issue.
Overall impression - Probably will be my replacement for Arc'Teryx. Is my first jacket, won't be the last.

Light...but does the job

Very light but doesn't feel flimsy.
Very waterproof and breathes well (obviously I stood under the shower to test it!)
Fantastic cut and fit. It seems to fit beautifully whether I have a t-shirt or down jacket under it. I'm slim and 6ft and the 'large' is perfect (thanks for steer Morgan)
One comment: I would like the option of brighter colours for visibility up on the tops. Bright yellow or orange

Another great piece

I’ve had many items from Jöttnar, always high quality, looks and fits great every time. The Hjalmar fits and feels awesome again. Looking forward to taking it out in the mountains.
