Odin, Thorne and Valdyr

I purchased the 3 items above and thought I’d review all here.
All 3 items are fantastic.
The Thorne is super warm and packs down into the stuff sack well. It’s not waterproof but kept me dry during a blizzard on the Cairngorm plateau.
The Odin is bombproof to wind and rain. Really top notch! I love that it doesn’t need treated too.
The Haldyr hard shell pants are much the same as above and work really well in a layering system. Easy on easy off.
I’m gradually replaces all my kit and I’m now a jottnar devotee.

Disappointed

Chose to give Jottnar a try after seeing so many positive reviews. Chose the valdyr pants… first impressions, very good. Material felt good etc…. Once I took them out on a climb, the side buttons on the waist clip off the second I un-zip the side zippers. Had to stop every 10 yards to put them back together. Bad design that when the side zips are un-done, the waist is just held together with a single popper button.
In the end I had to keep them zipped up and sweated heavily until I got back to the car.
Customer service sent me a link to send them off for repair, however there not faulty just a poor design in my eyes, so essentially a pointless suggestion as they wouldn’t be found to be faulty.
Shame really because the pants them selves are great and I love the material, just not something you would expect for £300+ gear

Manufacturing issue

Obviously good quality gear. However, there was a manufacturing issue with one of the hoops for the brace to go into. The hoop was too small for the metal brace to attach. And I live in the USA so it's a big pain having to return it back to the UK.

Valdyr pants.

Along with the Hodr as previously reviewed, same same! Just oozes quality and performs admirably.
Again, Hoofing!

Great Looking Kit - Fully Loaded

Bought this in preparation for the winter season so not used in anger yet. Fit is snug but not restrictive and the material has a great feel to it. Loaded with great features and has quality written all over. Looks good on as well!! Can't wait to try them out.
